Kimberly Kennedy- Owner of Popstar Performers has been singing, dancing and performing for the last 25 years, since the age of 6. At the age of 13 her family moved to Friendswood, Texas where she auditioned for Young Performing Stars of Texas, a local performing group that sparked her journey as a performer. Through Young Performing Stars of Texas, Kimberly traveled nationwide and performed at various events, including the1992 Republican National Convention at the Astrodome, Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Rockets half time show at the Compaq Center and the Houston Music Festival. Kimberly also performed at Major Theme Parks including Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida, Sea World of Texas and Splashtown USA. Always striving in vocal performance, Kimberly was a member of the popular Country band Heart Of Gold, where she performed at Country Opry’s and Festivals all over Texas. Kimberly took her performance experience even further when she became a member and officer of the Friendswood Wranglerettes. As Deputy Sheriff, Kimberly was an award winning soloist and member of the acclaimed Dream Ensemble. Continuing her education in dance, Kimberly attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she majored in Journalism with an advertising emphasis and minored in dance. Kimberly was honored to be a member of the five-time National Champion Stephen F. Austin Pom Squad. Kimberly also danced professionally with Dance Force Productions, a professional dance company that provides dance entertainment for Corporations, charity galas and private parties. Kimberly was also a vocal finalist on Season Three of Gimmie The Mike Houston on KPRC Local 2. Kimberly is represented by Pastorini-Bosby Talent in Houston and has appeared in commercials for Luby’s, Susan G. Komen, The City Of Houston, Texas Home and Garden Show, Gulf Coast Toyota and many more.
Kimberly was involved in the production of hundreds of Radio and TV spots that included casting talent of all ages from Texas to Los Angeles during her 8 years as an advertising agency producer.
Married and living in Houston with her Husband Scott and their son William, Kimberly wants to benefit the lives of children with a unique opportunity to perform. She has been deeply blessed by the opportunities that were given to her through performance, and her goal is to be able to pass that along to students for years to come.
Amy Holt- Director of PopStar Performers, developed a passion for performing and singing at a young age. She was a member of the group, Young Performing Stars of Texas, and traveled locally and nationally performing at various events including; Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Rockets half time show, the Houston Music Festival, Walt Disney World, Nashville's Opryland, Sea World of Texas, Splashtown USA and on Premier's Big Red Boat Cruise Ship to the Bahamas.
Through Young Performing Stars, Amy also discovered that she had a talent for teaching dance. She also began teaching aspiring young singers private voice lessons to hone their skills by utilizing the proper techniques. Amy also performed with the show choir in her High school and was invited to teach the choreography for competitions and pop shows. Because of her love of singing and commitment to Christ, Amy formed a worship team called “For His Glory” where they traveled to local churches and home groups leading praise and worship and were featured on Daystar Christian Network.
Amy went on to marry her high school sweetheart, James and have 4 beautiful children; Hannah, Sarah-Grace, Isaiah and Abigail. After the birth of her last child, Amy started her own company, Vinyl Attraction, in order to be able to stay home with her babies. Now Amy has rekindled her true passion of working with kids in singing and dancing by joining forces with Kimberly Kennedy and Popstar Performers.
